Close to town
Cat Co 1 and Cat Co 2 sit near the town and work well when you have only a spare morning or afternoon. Check the current walking route and any property or beach access rules rather than assuming every stretch is open to the public.
Beaches on the bay
Lan Ha Bay has small sandy pockets among the islands, but a boat must use permitted stops and the tide can change how much sand is visible. Ask your operator where swimming is allowed that day and follow the crew’s safety instructions.
Plan a safe swim
Do not enter the water simply because a beach looks empty. Look for local guidance on currents, boat traffic and swimming areas; use a life jacket when instructed and avoid swimming alone.
