Match the season to your activity
Swimming and kayaking are easier to plan in warmer weather, while a cool day can make a forest walk more comfortable. Neither season guarantees calm seas or clear skies, so keep your most weather-sensitive activity flexible.
Think beyond the forecast
Summer weekends and Vietnamese public holidays can change the feel of the town, beaches and boats. Travelling midweek or allowing an extra night often gives you more choice than trying to identify one supposedly perfect date.
Check near departure
Look at a recent forecast and the operator’s cancellation policy shortly before travel. Harbour decisions, rain and wind matter more to a boat itinerary than a generic monthly climate average.
