Daily itinerary

Times may move slightly with the weather, tide and pace of the group, while the activity order remains the same.

  1. Pickup and transfer to Cai Beo Harbor

    Pickup from accommodation in Cat Ba Town, followed by a short transfer to the harbor to meet the guide and group.

  2. Cai Beo and the limestone karsts

    Cruise past the working floating village of Cai Beo and continue among the limestone towers of Lan Ha Bay.

  3. Hidden caves and lagoons by kayak

    Paddle through quiet lagoons, rock tunnels and natural arches. Kayaks, life jackets and dry-bags are provided.

  4. Vietnamese lunch near Ong Cam Islet

    Anchor in a sheltered area for a freshly prepared lunch, followed by time to relax or swim from the boat.

  5. Cruise toward southern Ha Long Bay

    Continue through a less-visited seascape near Dau Be Island, floating communities and distinctive limestone arches.

  6. Swim at Ba Trai Dao

    Jump off the boat or enjoy swimming and relaxing at the beach when conditions allow.

  7. Switch boats for sunset and night kayaking

    Your guide and another boat will pick you up directly on the bay to enjoy the sunset.

  8. Dinner time

    Enjoy a local dinner on board.

  9. The magic begins

    Get back on the water by kayak and look for a good spot to see a symphony of light from bioluminescent plankton.

  10. Scenic return cruise

    Sail slowly back toward Cat Ba with time to relax on deck, then transfer to your hotel.
